H.E.L.P. and the City of Dallas have partnered to host the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on Saturday, January 20th @ 9:00 am.

Thank you for your support of the 2024 MLK Parade. After collaborative efforts and discussions between the City of Dallas and HELP, we deem it necessary to postpone the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade due to inclement weather forecasted for Monday January 15, 2024. The parade has been rescheduled for  Saturday January 20, 2024, with a start time at 9 am.

ABOUT THE PARADE

****2024 ALTERNATE PARADE ROUTE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION****

Due to construction on MLK/SM Wright, the 2024 Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual MLK Day Parade will starts at the Fair Park MLK entrance. lt will proceed down MLK Blvd. to Atlanta turning south, then turning east on Pennsylvania Ave. returning to Fair Park.

Participants include elected officials, high school bands and dance teams, car clubs, horses, local businesses, and other community organizations.

Arrive early to enjoy the MLK Parade Kickoff, from 8:00 am-9:00 am in front of the King Center featuring a compilation of entertainment before the parade starts.

 

Please note the rescheduled date and start time: The 2024 MLK parade begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 20th.

Entry Deadline

The deadline to submit an application is 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. No exceptions.

Entry Fee

  • Parade Entry Fee: $150 (includes the cost of 1 vehicle;  additional vehicles are $15 each (Limit 5)
  • Car Clubs: $200 for the first 5 cars; $15 each additional car (Limit 20)
  • Payment can be made online or by money order or cashier’s checks made payable to “Hope Encourage Love Protect (H.E.L.P.)”
  • No refunds will be issued.
  • Registration is not complete until entry fee has been paid.
  • At least 1 representative from each organization MUST attend a mandatory logistics meeting before the parade.

Parade Logistics Meeting

There will be a mandatory meeting for all Parade participants on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 6:30 pm at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center located at 2922 MLK Blvd Dallas, Texas 75215.

A representative from your organization MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE- failure to attend forfeits your participation in the parade.
